March 20, 2012, Hawaii – Longhouse Development LLC, a luxury residential and resort construction company, based in Honolulu, Hawaii, is pleased to announce new hire, Bert W. Peterka, Jr. to our management team.

Peterka comes to Longhouse Development, LLC from BWP Construction, Inc. with 25 years of experience in the Hawaii construction industry specializing in concrete and steel construction.  Most notably, he was the general contractor for the Gemini Observatory, the newest 8-meter facility on the Summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii, structural contractor for the SUBARU Japanese Large Telescope on the Summit of Mauna Kea, as well as serving as project manager for several medical facility projects on Oahu.

Peterka will be joining Longhouse Development LLC as Senior Project Manager.  His duties include construction project management for planning and executing the company’s resort and residential projects.
